Eco Friendly Pr0n

How are you (well, morning for me) my lovely pr0n readers?  My you are looking lovely today.  You’ve been shopping, haven’t you?  I’m so proud. Today’s post is all about the Fifth Rule of Shopping Pr0n: Put your money where your mouth is.  This relates back to my post on Socially Responsible Pr0n . The point is that if I’m going to go all soapbox ranty about being socially responsible, I should try to integrate it into my life and blog.

cotton/poly/hemp/silk, size L, $96

cotton/poly/hemp/silk, size L, $96

So today, dear pr0n addicts, we will look at Eco Friendly Pr0n!  Natural fibers, sustainable fabrics, organic materials, and vegetarian/vegan products – all that satisfy the pr0nista in you! To my right I have a super comfy tailored hoody, we have proof that you don’t have to give up the shoe lover in you to be ethical, another men’s blazer, and as always – panties!

Your dear blogger was beginning to wonder if socially responsible people had something against fashionable shoes (and clothes) when she found The Green Loop .

Oh joy!  Oh rapture!  OH, my credit card!  Just look at these red and black Hazel T-strap pumps from Beyond Skin.  Apparently Beyond Skin has been around since 2001 exclusively creating beautiful, handmade, ethical footwear.

These are made from a faux patent leather (polyurethane) and hemp; I’m glad to see the pot I did in college is being put to a better use.  The website has a tremendous amount of detail about the fabrics and the company.  You should know they were made in Spain and have a 3.75 inch heel.  These puppies will set your feet and your wallet back a cool $285.  Shipping is $5, and Greenloop.com does deliver to some other countries.

Feel free to wear those shoes with this Truly Organic Talum Skirt.   What I simply adore about this skirt is the fabrics used to creat a soft, flowy look, and the side rouching.  When rouching first came back into style, like most trends it was horribly overused and misused.

Now that it’s had time to settle down, it’s being used in wonderful ways to add just a hint of interest to an article of clothing, as in this skirt. It’s pleated, rouched and tied on the side (wear it up or down), and hits just below the knee.

Talum is made from 100% fair trade organic cotton , with 100% vegetable, chemical free dyes, and is lined in soft poplin (which is referring to cotton here).  Unless I’m being dense I can’ t see where their products are manufactured, but being certified fair trade should  help in your decision bring home this $73.50 creation.

In one of our previous episodes, you all went gaga over this Juicy blazer.  So I am committed to bringing you more menswear for you to go gaga over.  I really like this knit blazer by Same Underneath. First,  it’s half off. It used to be $240 and now it’s $120.  Love it!

It’s a fitted, single knit button blazer – normally single button blazers are tricky, because they have a really low stance ( i.e. where the button is) and it just calls attention to a belly, but the stance is about mid-chest here, which is nice.
There are front flap pockets, 3 button cuffs, and it’s fully lined in contrasting print with a Sameunderneath red button hold stitch on the lapel.

It’s made from: 75% organic cotton; 25% polyester.  The company says it’s “Made in China – with respect”, so make of that what you will or contact the company.

Let me tell you, dear pr0n friends, organic/eco-friendly men’s clothing sucks.  In fact, it both sucks and blows that’s how bad it is.  Want jeans?  Sure.  Want t-shirts and hoodies?  Okay.  That’s…about 90% of it.  The article I read said that if men want this stuff they need to be more vocal consumers, so I’m passing that along.

In the meantime, I’m passing along this Nova Bamboo Polo shirt by Salts that I found on Etsy.

From what I can see, it’s made from 100%  organic bamboo (excluding the snaps), which is a sustainable fiber, and is made by the owner in Canada.

If a guy picked me up for a date wearing this with a pair of nice jeans and shoes (the cap can go, really), he’s already one step ahead with me.

So – spend $36 on this shirt (which is also available in red or green), and call me if you’re cute and single!  Salts also has really really cute organic baby clothes.  The clothes are organic, I can’t vouch for the babies. (Little grammar humor there.)

I’ll show up in this stunner of en eco friendly bamboo dress by Gina Michele, off Smashing Darling.  When I was putting together this post, I had three Gina Michele dresses in my queue that I could have shown you, her dresses are just so soft looking and well crafted.

Just look at this yellow/mustard v-neck bamboo “Portrait of a Siren” dress.  A deep v-neck, is attached to a pintucked, lined bodice with a braided tie closure in back.  I will say that this is for someone on the smaller end of the bust line, unless you want to put a cami under it, which  is totally acceptable.

It’s got an elastic empire waist – empire waists are great for pear figures because it shows off your upper body and just sort of skims over that whole hippy, thigh, rear area – and a layered skirt.  Made in New York.

Before stepping out the door for my date with Mr. Handsome up there, I’ll grab my WAS clutch. Every WAS bag is one of a kind, as it’s made from recycled billboards.  Their stock is constantly changing or you can make your own!  The clutches do have a leather strap, but they’re made entirely in New Zealand.

This one is $125 NZ, which CoinMill.com is kind enough to tell me is only about $67 and change U.S.  Whee!  If I’ve got my NZ lingo down, they appear to ship worldwide.  Thanks WAS!

Since my dress is lined, I can slip on this cami and tied bikini set from Adili.com underneath (see how nicely I segeued there).  I’ve been showing you all a lot of “retro” inspired lingerie lately, so I thought this was a nice change.

You can only get this cami/panty set (there’s a different style of panty at Adili) at Adili, but it’s made by Enamore from organic silk (8% silk elastyne for stretch), and made in the UK.

As you can see in the picture, it’s a bit of a small fit, so do check out their size chart.  I believe the sizes are UK, and are available UK 8-14 (US 6-12ish).  They do ship worldwide, and they’ll ship these to you £59 ($92.11 US) for the cami (It’s organic silk!  What do you want?) and £ 37 for this style panty ($57.76 US).  Lots more lingerie at the site if you like the concept, but not ths specific pair.

Alas, that’s all  I have for you my darlings! I’m ever so glad you came.  By next week I promise to have lots more eco-friendly pr0n for you.  Until then, I suspect the next edition of ShoppingPron will be Luxury Pr0n! Ooooh! We’ll see how you all like that.  Sometime Friday I suspect, to be followed by the weekly edition of Pr0n Plus.  Time flies when you’re reading pr0n!

As always, it was good for me; tell me: was it good for you?

Pr0n Plus – February 8th Edition

Hello hello, my lovely pr0n potatoes.  Those of you who are pr0n virgins – welcome!  Those of you with a pr0n habit – welcome back!  In this week’s edition of Pr0n Plus: The Very Best Plus Size Fashion, some of the things I’ll be showing you a classic trenchcoat up to a size 18, adorable, soft cotton/spandex lingerie from Kiyonna up to a size 30-32, and the cutest pumps you’ve ever seen, up to a size 16M from Kathryn Kerrigan.  Time’s a-wasting and other people are buying our stuff, my little plumquats, so let’s dig in!

I think I’ll start with my biggest surprise, which was finding out that designer MaxStudio.com sells a size XL, which appears to be a U.S. size 16-18. Since they have lovely clothes and even lovelier sales, this was quite a find.  This is a 100% cashmere short sleeved dress, with bib detail, and ruffles at the sleeve and hem.  Wear it on its own, or with a pair of yummy tights.

In charcoal and heather yellow (love these colors), it’s available up to an XL, heather rust is available up to an L, which is a 14/16.  The size chart looks pretty true to me, but do look for yourself.  I almost forgot – it was originally $228, and it’s now $168 ($100 total gets you free shipping).  Did I mention it’s 100% cashmere?.  They’re out of it in your dear blogger’s size; I checked. :( (MaxStudio.com garments appear to be made in a variety of mostly Asian countries: China, Hong Kong (which is now part of China), and Singapore, from what I can find)

This sort of clingy dress calls for a smooth line.  ShoppingPr0nistas are big fans of Gok Wan‘s plus size lingerie and shapewear.  His Divine Outline would work wonderfully under this dress. £45 or about $67 USD, sizes 8 to 32.

If you’re someplace they don’t deliver to  (i.e. the U.S.), make friends with someone in the U.K. and bake them cookies.  Or bug me and I’ll see what I can do.  I can’t see where his line is made, but I’ll poke Char who works over there and see if she’ll tell me.  Oh! And his new collection is coming out February 23rd!  Eeee!  Watch this space.  Well, not this space, but this space.

Moving on, munchkins!  That less dress was a tad unforgiving – definitely meant for an hourglass figure.  This next dress, Kilo by PAS, is more forgiving of someone less hourglass and more apple.

It’s hard to see, but this is actually a cream dress with a black heart print (best view here), 97% viscose (like a rayon), 3% spandex with gathering under the bust and sleeve – perhaps for a bit of stretch.  The dress measures 37″ from shoulder to hem – figure accordingly where it’s going to hit on you.  This is so so sexy, and so chic, I had to feature it.

It’s a prime example of the Third Rule of Shopping Pr0n: Good fashion is good fashion at any size.  Over at PinkMarzipan.com, they do appear to ship outside the UK, and they’re selling this dress for £75 or about $110USD.  They have a currency converter onsite, which is nice.  Unfortunately, I can’t find any information about where PAS clothing is made.

A great dress demands a great pair of shoes, no – deserves it!  Over at My Lovely Big Feet Blog, where girlfriend knows good shoes, I had seen these scrumptious shoes in blue.  But where she had them linked to,  you couldn’t order them after 2/1/09.  Lucky for you, my pr0n readers, I ran across them at Endless.com.

Pick up Kathryn Kerrigan’s Ames T-straps up to a size 16 M, on sale for $149.40.  These are leather and patent leather, with an adjustable T-strap, and a 2 1/4 curved wedge heel.  Both the outsole and the insole are leather.

Kathryn Kerrigan shoes are handcrafted in Spain, and this particular style is also available in black.  The rest of her line is equally unique and stylish.  Ch-ch-check it out.

.If you

If you don’t necessarily need big, but you do need wide surf over to old standby Nordstrom and try Söfft’s Chrissy pump. Söfft is what we call truth in advertising.  They’re known as a “comfort” brand, so to get styling like this from a comfort brand is genius.

I have to tell you that I have personally tried on these shoes.  They’re 3.5″ heels, which is about 1/2″ higher than your dear pr0n blogger can handle (Yes, I’m a shoe hypocrite.).  So I put these on (and they were comfortable – don’t get me wrong!)  and I was like a Weeble – because “Weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down”.  That was me. :D

Anyhoo.  Chrissy is lovely, also available in black leather, from sizes 7-10 Narrow, 5-12 Medium and 1-10 Wide, and has a cushy polyurethane sole.  They’re only $99 smackeroos at Nordy’s. The company is based in Massachusetts, but the shoes appear to be made in China.

So you’ve got the great dress, you’re rocking the fabulous shoes, what every fashionista needs in her closet next is a trenchcoat.

From Martin & Osa, a U.S. brand from the same family as American Eagle Outfitters, is this classic styled soft polyester trenchcoat.  Here’s what the site has to say: Fitted silhouette, removable self-belt, double-breasted metal-button placket, rounded collar, hook-and-eye closure,  long sleeves with belts, front pockets, and vented button-tab hem falls above knee.  Whew.

Here’s what I say: this is a great jacket and you’ll have it for years.  Buy it.  Ha.  Martin & Osa do ship internationally.  It goes up to an XXL, which they say is an 18; the measurements look a little small to me, but it’s been a while since I’ve been plus-size so check it out for yourself.  The coat is a new arrival and $170 (with free shipping). Country of origin is tricky to pin down other than “Imported”.  American Eagle Outfitters says that at least 20% of their denim comes from China, so you can assume there’s at least a chance this was made there.

Something that I always had the hardest time finding when I was plus-size was chic work clothes: clothing my mother wouldn’t wear (sorry, Pr0nMom!), that I could feel cute in, working in a more business-like environment.

So my eyes bugged out at this Patrizia Tailored Ruffle Jacket and Skirt from Igigi.comI’m a little unhappy because it’s a man-made herringbone tweed, as opposed to say a wool, or wool blend tweed; for the money ($208 for the jacket and $102 for the pants) it should be natural fibers, IMO.

But that being said, it’s a terrific design (your blogger wants one!)  The jacket has princess seams (in fact you can see the exact structure of the jacket at the website, which I’ve never seen at a website before), bracelet length sleeves, and stretch.

The pants have a slight bootcut, a contoured waistband (to hopefully avoid that “gap” in back) with belt loops (seriously pants without belt loops drive me insane); they’re fully lined, and they’re cuffed, which you can always have taken down if you don’t like cuffs.  In theory, both go up to a size 30, but sizes are already sold out or selling fast. Thanks, igigi!  Both pieces were manufactured in the United States.

Last but not least, I bring you comfy, sexy lingerie.  I bring you comfy, sexy lingerie up to a size 30/32!  (How much do you love me?)  Well known line Kiyonna, now has a separate lingerie line, Alectra by Kiyonna.  It’s great to see a range of stuff in a range of sizes.

This is a cami, lounge pants (lounge pants are out of a lot of sizes) and thong in cotton candy with black lace or black with taupe lace.  All pieces in this set are 97% cotton & 3% spandex.

The cami is $26, and goes from an 0X (10-12) to a 3X (22-24) in the cotton candy, and 4X (26-28) in the black.  The lounge pants are $26, and available 0X & 1X in Cotton Candy and 0X to 2X in Black. (International shipping available)

These do sell elsewhere, so look around if they’re out of your size.  The thong is $18, and available up to a 5x (30-32) in both colors.  I have nothing on manufacturing for Alectra; Kiyonna simply says “Imported”.

Well my little starfish, our time together is up.  I do include plus-size clothing in all my posts, but Pr0n Plus, our alone time, comes each weekend.  I save my weekends for you my little plus size pr0ners, because you’re special.

I have no idea what my next post is going to be…but it’ll be something!  Tuesday, perhaps.  Until then, it was good for me; tell me, was it good for you?

Sales Pr0n – Dying of the Flu Edition

Thanks for coming back my pr0n muffins.  I’m dying of the flu and wanted to make sure I showed you these sales before I did.  If I trail off mid-outfit, just administer apple juice.

I once read that everybody loves a parade; I’m not sure how they reached that conclusion.  Frankly I’d like to see their research methodology,

Originally $395, now $198

Originally $395, now $198

but my point being that everybody likes a sale.  Feel free to insert the comment of your choice about the recession here.  Kind of like those Choose Your Own Adventure Books I used to read.

Remember the Fourth Rule of Shopping Pr0n: Just because something is 75% off, does not mean you need it.  It’s very much related to the First Rule. Almost Rule 1a.  My father taught me to ask myself this before buying something: Where will I wear it? If you don’t know, no matter how fabulous it is, put it back.

Take for instance this butter yellow cropped leather motorcycle jacket from Domaleather.  Let’s look closely: slightly puffed shoulders, stitching detail at the neck and along the zipper, angled front pockets, 3/4 length sleeves with an elastic wrist, and a slim cropped fit.

RevolveClothing is selling this jacket in yellow (sizes M,L) and dark violet (which I might actually like more, size M only).  This piece of art was originally $481 and is now $241.

Half off leather. *cries*  Someone please buy this and send me a picture so I can pretend I’m you.

Now here’s something you will wear over and over and over:  From Thomas Pink‘s “Richard Nicholl’s Collection” is this “Ruth” women’s dress.

The image is crap, so click to see the full size one.  This really is classic design at its best.  Thomas Pink is top quality and style.

This is a 100% cotton shirt dress with trims on cuffs, pockets and hem, a  pleated bib (just what you’d think it would be), roll up sleeves, self fabric covered buttons and detachable fabric belt.  It looks gray, but it’s actually a black pinstripe.

These are UK sizes, but their handy dandy size chart will conveniently convert you. For future reference they go up to a U.S. size 18, but the highest this dress is in stock is a 16. Why? Well it was first selling for $500 (yes, that’s right) and it’s now $189. At better than half price, remember the Second Rule of Shopping Pr0n: Get it while it lasts.  Supplies are limited, first come, first served.

Now, almost all – if not all – of the shoes I’ve shown you here on the Pr0n (as I like to call it) have been heels.  Often very high heels.  (You know what they say: the higher the heel, the closer to God), but that’s really only because I haven’t found flats pr0nish enough to meet my standards for you, muffins!  I care!  Look at these and tell me they’re not the cutest things you’ve ever seen (go on – tell me.).

“Foxy Ballerina” from Marc by Marc Jacobs; once these beauties were $425, now they’re $213. And if you had $213, wouldn’t you spend it on these fuchsia (so hard to spell) or charcoal patent leather flats?

They’re actually a 1″ heel, which is better for your feet, and have a fox ear detail at the vamp with a square toe.  They’re available for your foxy pleasure at Bergdorf Goodman.

But really, really what makes my heart go pitter pat are a pair of drool inducing heels, like these at ShopBop.com.  Please ignore the idiotic caption on the website; what you need to know is that these are “Folded Ornament Wedges” from Leopoldo Giordano.  If I ever meet Leo, I’d like to hug him. That’s all.  Just a hug.

It goes down like this: 4″ patent leather wedges in Blue or Taupe (get the Blue), made in Italy. Marked down from $545, these shoes-of-a-lifetime can be yours for $163.50.

There’s a tab detail at the vamp, and if you look closely you can see a seam detail along the heel.  If you go to the website you can look at the shoe from all angles. *giggles*  (No, you don’t need to tell me I lack maturity.  I know.)

Really good fashion is all about details.  Details and quality.  Details, quality and fit.  Never mind – before this turns into the Spanish Inquisition, let’s look at this zip front skirt by Michen, which has all 3.

Take a beautiful wool/nylon/cashmere pencil skirt with a silk lining, add a waistband with a tortoise shell colored button, a bit of pleating just to kick it up a notch, and a zipper running on the diagonal, and you’ll have this skirt.

If you’re a size 4 or 6, head over to Tobi.com and plunk down your $150 for a half off skirt.  This beautiful skirt is made in the U.S.A. used to be $301.

One of the things I love, especially on bigger women, is a beautiful, large print in a bold color.   Apparently the stylists at American Idol agreed, because they used this Diva Halter in red from Missphit.

.Admittedly, I find the clothing at Missphit hit or miss, but their hits are bullseyes, and so are their prices. This was originally $45, and it’s now $32.

This chiffon high neck halterneck actually has a full front and back lining so your not showing anything you don’t intend to (*cough*) and a smocked bottom band. It’s sized (and available) 1x-3x, which Missphit says is about a 14w to 24W.  Can’t miss.

.There’s another saying (Yes, another saying. Deal.): into every man’s life a little cashmere must fall.  That’s right isn’t it? If you or someone you know needs a little cashmere to fall into his life, head on over to Bluefly.com.

If you’re a small or an extra-large, you’re in luck!  Imagine slipping into this charcoal/silver/blue basketweave v-neck sweater by ADAM.

Original price: $375, the actual retail price of your showcase sweater is $179.99 for a small, $109.99 for an XL (No clue, don’t ask.)

My friend and reader, Rachel, turned me on to LunaBoston.com, which is filled to the brim with different brands of handbags, shoes and accessories.  Bright color is everywhere for spring, and it’s all over Lorelai’s “Madison” tote.

Madison comes in green only, with a bright pink fabric lining.  Black and yellow sold out, and green is apparently available only in very limited quantities so don’t hesitate if you love this bag (Damn. I really should be on QVC.)

.Men should not be afraid of a little color either.  Take for instance this 1960s blazer from Juicy Couture. Now, can we all agree that this is in fact a nice blazer, and not over the top? Thank you. It’s just that my friend Deka over at That’s Hideous, found these truly atrocious Juicy ski goggles., and felt the need to denigrate Juicy. *snif*. So I felt the need to show her some very subdued Juicy.

I’d be happy to go on a date with any man wearing this blazer.  It’s nice, it’s purple and I like purple, it’s stylish and proves he put some thought into his outfit, and it’s Juicy!  Someone I’m on a date with wearing Juicy? Bonus!  Either he dresses well or knows how to find someone who does, which is equally valid.

Anyway, they’re calling this burgundy, and cotton.  It looks like corduroy to me, but it could just be a nubby cotton (yeah, i know corduroy is cotton).  It once was $218, and it’s now $163.

Before we wrap up, you must see this organic cotton and bamboo “Alison” dress from Sublet.

One thing you should know about your blogger is that she has ridiculously sensitive skin.  I wear very little wool, no angora or lambswool (which I guess is a type of wool).  Your dear blogger only wears cotton, silk, cashmere, or soft synthetics.  So I’m adoring all the new clothing that’s coming out in organic cotton and bamboo. Bamboo!  Who knew?

This dress is just sexy as all get out.  It does have a deep v-neck, so if you can’t wear stick-on boobies or similar, put a silk or cotton cami underneath.  This is beautiful detailing that is great to expose an upper body and camouflage what’s going on below the waist.

Oh – the site I found it at is The Green Loop.com.  They were selling the dress for $242, and it’s now $121 in black.  Made in the U.S.A.

It wouldn’t be pr0n without lingerie (plus it gets me site hits).  I searched high and low for some lovely cotton lingerie on sale, but it was not to be found.  So we’ll skip the sale and go for the comfy and sexy  from sheandme.com .

How yummy are these boyshorts that are solid in the front and pattern in the back, with a little lace trim?  The solid comes in pomegranete, ivory, mocha, navy, chocolate and sienna. 94% modal, 6% spandex, made in the U.S.A $30

Happy bargain hunting, my little pr0nistas!

As always, it was good for me; tell me: was it good for you?

Next time on ShoppingPr0n (if I survive the flu): More Pr0n Plus – Only the best plus sized pr0n.

Pure Pr0n

It’s good to see you my little pr0n dumplings.  Did you miss me?  Say you did.  Tonight’s post is what this blog is all about: pure pr0n.  No holds barred, the best of the best of the fashion the web has to offer at any price from any designer.  The only requirement is that it gets your engine running: heart rate faster, pupils dilated, slightly flushed – the whole nine yards.  But enough talk, let’s get busy.

I have good news, dumplings; I’m in love.  It’s true: I’m in love with a handbag.  This is via the store/site Hayden-Harnett NYC , which I’d never heard of until I read Shopahol Hangover, and really – who among us hasn’t had a fashion hangover? Amirite?

Be warned this is a slim tote. “Din?” I hear you asking, “What means this ‘slim tote’?  What are the implications for me?”  Due time, dumplings.  Due time.

What it means is that a) the handle drop is 3.5 inches.  This bag is meant to be carried jauntily in the crook of your arm. “But Din,” I hear you ask, “I can’t carry much if it’s hanging on the crook of my arm.”  Precisely, lumpkins.

This “Oryx Clutch” is meant “for a night on the town”.   At 1.5″ deep, there’s enough for a light cardigan, your cell phone, wallet, condoms (we have had this talk, haven’t we?), and perhaps a pair of slippers for when those fabulous pumps feel a wee bit less than fabulous.  $325, coincidentally ships 3/25.

But my love is fleeting and fickle.  From the people at Simply Yours who brought you Gok Wan, comes Simply Be for plus-size clothing like this Big Button Jacket, available in (UK) sizes 14-32!

This jacket is made in machine washable, uber-soft velour and is fully lined.  Looks like 3 buttons with a tab closure on the bottom.  It’s car-coat length, so it’s hitting around mid-thigh.

The jacket comes in three colors – this is Ochre; there’s also Burnt Orange and Green, which is sort of…minty.

Let’s talk turkey £50, which Google tells me is about $72.00 these days.  Sadly, Simply Be does not ship to the U.S. yet, but I’m thinking about a Pr0n Cultural Exchange program.

If someone wants to buy from Simply Yours or Simply Be, contact me and I’ll see if I can arrange for a UK friend to ship in exchange for sexual favors my undying love and a favor to be returned later.

But my lovely lemons cannot go naked underneath their new coats!  No no, that will not do.  And so I give you this actual vintage 60’s  red wool knit suit, courtesy of  Couture Allure.  When I say actual vintage, I mean actual vintage. There’s one of these, so if you want it – go get it.  We’ll still be here.

The chest is 40″, the waist is elasticized, so it’s 30″ not stretched out.  I would add several more inches to that in terms of actual capacity.  The sleeves are 18″ from the shoulder seam, so 3/4 length? and the top is meant to be looser than the skirt, which is 20″.

It’s 100% wool with a side zipper on the skirt.  Check out the website for actual condition information, but it’s $55.00.  Pr0n Approved.

Now, my under size 14 pr0nistas love vintage as well, and I have something for you.  Can you say Vintage ’60’s DIOR??  Let me repeat myself VINTAGE DIOR, PEOPLE.  I’m calm – I’m calm.  This is an original Christian Dior from the 1960’s sold by Neiman Marcus.  The fabric is tobacco brown in ribbed silk (ribbed silk!)

Please look at the detail on this dress.  The darting at the bust that leads down to the side seaming.  The skirt portion hits at low waist with a pleated bow detail.  The bodice is a scoop neck with cap sleeves. *sigh*

The dress closes with a center back metal zipper and has a brown China silk lining.  It is interlined in cotton batiste for added body.”

The measurements are kind of interesting; they’re not what you typically see in sizing today.  Bust – 37″, waist 27″, hips 40″.  Shoulder to waist – 16″, shoulder to shoulder 16″.  I’m envisioning someone curvy and petite in this dress.

If you have a special occasion coming up, look no further – plunk your $450 right here.

Why don’t we finish these outfits?  Try these green and yellow tear drop dangles from ShopTwigs.com. Or these simple yellow stone earrings, also from Shoptwigs.

The teardrops combine yellow and lime green; wear them with neutrals, wear them with anything that has either color in it, wear them with navy – just wear them!

Originally $163, they’re on sale for $82. (Makes me want to get my ears re-pierced).

The yellow stones, which are just so classic and will go with anything are 3/4″ wide with a 1″ drop, and sell for $110.

Both these dresses cry out for a wonderful pump (Can you hear the dresses crying, Clarice?)  For the vintage red wool, I recommend simplicity and modernity, both of which you can find in these suede Bottega Veneta platform pumps.

Did I mention they were suede?  Yes, well – 4.5″ heel with a 1″ platform (remember pumpkins, that means it’s going to feel like a 3.5″ heel).

They have an almond shape toe, cone shaped heel and a molded platform and heel.  You can purchase them for $690 at Net a Porter.  Save the economy, buy Bottega Veneta!

The Dior calls for something more delicate – Dior generally does.  One must be a lady in Dior. Once you’re out of the Dior, all bets are off – I’m just saying.  These red patent leather Jimmy Choos are all wrong but I’m showing them to you anyway.  Because it’s my blog; I can do that.

Red. Patent Leather. Mary Janes. Jimmy Choo.  Do you need to know anything else?

Fine.  Rounded toe, leather upper, leather lining.  Adjustable leather strap along vamp. 4″ heel, made in Italy

Ah, men!  I’ve neglected you!  Unless you have a shoe fetish in which case you should be all set.

Well that was exciting.  I opened up my men’s file and found…a belt.  Fear not! I come bearing pr0n.  Feast your eyes on this Vintage by La Rosa ’60’s car coat.

This is a mint condition original car coat from the ’60’s.  Traditional collar, long sleeves with rolled cuffs and decorative buttons.

Chest width from underarm to underarm is 20″, sleeve length from shoulder to cuff is 24.5″, and length from neck to hem is 40″.

La Rosa is a vintage boutique on Haight Street in San Francisco, so if you’re nearby – stop in!  If not, head over to eLuxury.com and make sure you have $400 available, credit or debit.

.If vintage isn’t your bag, never fear.  Barney’s Co-op is here!  I’d love to see my suitors in this Marc by Marc Jacobs Happy Face Cardigan.  Exclusively at the Co-op (man that cracks me up.  $900 clothes at a “co-op”), this light grey cotton v-neck cardigan sweater has a contrast yellow placket , two front pockets and a happy face logo over the left chest.

It’s also available in sort of a heathered gray with a contrast pink placket.  Equally cute!

Why not slip on a pair of dark jeans and these Alexander McQueen bark zip-up ankle boots, and call that special gal pal of yours to go out for a malt?

.Now it seems to me that every time I feature lingerie, my hits go up.  Maybe you all are just a bunch of pervs, but as long as you keep reading, I really don’t care.

Besides, I want to show you this handmade cami and shorts from On the Inside (via Smashing Darling):”Sassafrass” cami and “Forget Me Not Panties”.  Each are handmade in New York City, and the pantiliner is made of organic cotton.

The designer says it’s a very soft cream colored lace with pink detail.  The panties are definitely low rise, but flattering to one’s booty.

The cami has curved cups and plush, adjustable gold straps.

If you’re a small C or below and need just a bit of support rather than underwire, these pieces really look delightful.

The Cami is $35, panties are $20.  Comparable to less that anything you’d find in a good department store, and wouldn’t you rather your money go to a real person anyway?

I’m going to show you lovelies two more pieces from On the Inside, because I stumbled across someone’s blog earlier, who was complaining that she couldn’t find a simple cotton, non-underwire bra (I swear it was complete coincidence.)

You have no idea how much I wish I would wear this organic cotton “Summersweet Bra” Mint cotton lined in cocoa with a cross-back for extra support.  The bra is $34 (which I would totally pay if I thought it would work on Olga and Helga here). Matching low-rise panties are $20.

Okay.  Is there anything we haven’t covered (get it? covered? get it? yeah.)  Oh, crap. I promised like 12 million people skirts.

If you’ve got a little more flexibility in your wardrobe, or just want a cute skirt, check out this classic Collectif pencil skirt.  It’s meant to be worn slightly low-rise and it comes in baby-blue, pale pink and lovely lemon yellow.

It’s available in UK sizes 8 – 20 and they do ship to the U.S. and Europe.  Only two left in this particular style and it’s £10 . Check out the rest of their selection to make shipping costs worthwhile.

For a more classic skirt with a more classic fit, over at ShopBop I found this purple crepe skirt by Black Halo.  It has rounded pockets at the hip with button flap detail, a hidden back zipper and notch at the back waistband (perhaps for a better fit?).  It’s 23″ long, made in the U.S.A., sizes 0-10 for $230.

.Rounding out tonight’s catch is this cute as a button “Shorthand” skirt, back at Smashing Darling .

White cotton denim with a front tab with buttons that cover a zipper.

This is by designer Laura Dawson…annnnnd I don’t have any manufacturing information.  $50 – currently available xs – m, which the site tells me is going to run a little small.   I’m calling it 0-8, even though they say 2-10.

Last one for tonight, and then I leave you.

If any of you are truly and I mean really and truly fashion forward, then I have a gem of a skirt for you.

High waisted, black skirt, with gathers going down the front and sides. 100% cotton, machine washable. by Zeto Clothing.

“Zeto pays utmost attention to detail – using only the highest quality original fabrics, custom-dyes, light weight inks, and in-house artwork to punctuate each piece of clothing”.  $88, with more specific styling details at the website.

My most precious pr0ners, good night good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night ’til it be morrow.

Once again – it was good for me; tell me, was it good for you?

Gok Wan Pr0n Update

Hellooo my lovely pr0n boys and girls –

I am so thrilled to let you know that Charlotte from Gok Wan’s plus-size lingerie line popped in to say hello and thanks.

You will recall that Gok Wan is the designer of such divine lingerie in a range of sizes, such as this sex kitten corset – up to a UK size 32

This “sassy slip” , which includes detachable suspenders and “Gok Cookies”,

and this “Banger Booster”, which frankly confuses me – because I thought “bangers” were sausages. You know – like “Bangers and Mash?” Right?? Now I know what Bullocks are…so are bangers boobs? Inquiring minds want to know.

Now for the sad part my pr0n darlings – their hosting site, SimplyYours does not yet deliver to the U.S. *SOBS*

Wait – let me compose myself…Okay.

They hope to in the future, and if you’d like them to, give Gok Wan’s blog some love from the colonies.

In the meantime, make friends with someone in the U.K. And bake them cookies so they’ll ship you some Gok Wan.

Thanks again, Charlotte! Cheers!

Pr0n Plus: Supersized Edition!

Good morning, pr0nistas – and in case I don’t see you: good afternoon, good evening and good night. I’ve been plotting all week for this post, searching high and low to bring you truly the best, truly the pr0niest Plus-Size Pr0n. Your dear blogger has been a size 6 and a size 16 (US) and every size in between, and feels strongly that the Third Rule of Shopping Pr0n is that good fashion is good fashion at any size.

(Let’s recap: First Rule of Shopping Pron is that half off Gucci is still a month’s rent.  Second Rule of Shopping Pr0n is get it while it lasts – supplies are limited. ) So!  Today’s post is the first in a series: Pr0n Plus! Ideally, I hope to have a weekly Pron Plus update.  As always it depends on the availability of pr0ny stuff.  Let’s get started, there’s lots to show you!

Feast your eyes on this Piano Stripe Blouse from Lafayette 148 New York. This is 100% cotton with what’s called a “wing collar” apparently.  Three-quarter length sleeves (of which I’m a fan) with a turn-back cuff , hidden placket (means you can’t see the buttons) and a really really small black check.  The length is over the hip, and it’s $298, available up to a women’s size 24 or a “Missy” size 16 (really, which term is worse: “plus sized” or “missy”?) – fantastic size range.  Thanks, Lafayette!

Oh – it’s shown here with their Cotton Sateen Debra Skirt – but I just think pencil/suit skirts are the type of thing that are much easier to find.  Still if you have another $328 to throw at it, I’m sure it’s great quality.

LeeLee’s Valise has a nice selection of various plus-size designers.  At the very least it gives you a glance at each of them and you can branch off to find more of whichever one you like.  I absolutely fell in love with this Retro-60’s Style Front Pleat Dress from LeeLee’s own collection.

This grey and black color-blocked dress is OH-so-flattering for you plus-size pr0nistas with great legs but a middle section that’s not so great (i.e. an apple shape).  It’s left over from fall so it’s only available in a size 3, which translates to…about a 22-24 from what I can see.  For $82, pick up this machine washable (!) dress.  Those of you in the northern hemisphere can put it in your closet until next fall, those of you in the southern hemisphere will be able to wear it soon .  (Uh, I think I got that right.)

A quick note on this – THIS IS ACCEPTABLE.  A good deal is a good deal. Yes, it’s sad to buy a pretty pretty thing and stare at it longingly in your closet. But eventually seasons change (feelings change).  Would you rather stare at it longingly or not at all? I’m just saying.

Moving right along , there’s something in the water over in Europe.  I’m just saying that if their plus size clothing is any indication, they’ve got some seriously chic, curvy women over there.  I was tipped off from my friend Maire Denee, who writes The Curvy Fashionista , and seems to be able to sniff out new plus-size clothing lines like truffles .  Anyway, she pointed me to one website I’ll show you later and from there it was like gangbusters finding more.

So while surfing this morning I found a lingerie designer by the name of Gok Wan, who is making some of the most beautiful and functional plus-size lingerie and shape wear that I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing.  It was a tough choice, but I wanted to show you Gok Wan’s Boobilicious Basque.  With a name like that, how could I resist?

According to the description “This multiway basque has boning across the front for extra support and control where you need it most. Extra set of clear straps and Gok Cookies for extra uplift! Luxury shapewear fabrics and trims throughout. “

Put this badboy on underneath your favorite dress and you’re perfectly smooth and uplifted, not to mention feeling sexy as hell!  This particular item is £46 or about $65 USD.  At any size a properly fitted bra is critical. Victoria’s Secret is not a properly fitted bra my lovelies. Please seek out a finer department store or specialty bra shop. They know what they’re doing and have a range of sizes.

The actual website is Simply Yours and I’m not immediately seeing information about shipping outside of the UK.  If you’re interested, I suggest you call or email.  Or hit up a friend in the UK to do it for you.  Your 32D blogger will be checking her own bank account shortly.

Next I really want to showcase one of my favorite little sites. Trashy Diva is this amazing vintage style clothing line based out of New Orleans. Their own line is filled with ’40s and ’50s style dresses, blouses and skirts (and a drop of lingerie). I have one of their dresses (which I’ve been meaning to have altered) and I always get complements on it. This is a store I’d love for you to support. While their sizes run on the smaller end of plus (up to about an 18 depending on the style), some of their styles truly do accommodate and flatter a curvy figure. At the low end of the scale they go down to a size 2, so lots of us can enjoy these designs.

This “Ashley” dress is the one I own in a different print, and it’s one of the most accommodating styles. I can’t say enough about the styling here, and the fact that it’s based on an actual 1940’s style shows how amazing clothing used to be.

The bust is gathered and lined, and attached to a smooth slightly empire waist , while the skirt apparently combines parts of a bias and an A-line skirt.  It’s knee-length with cap-sleeves. This particular style is $249 – keep in mind these are not mass-made clothing, and it’s a heavy weight silk crepe-de-chine . They do have a cotton line that runs about $100 less on average. Please patronize them if you can.

I promised you that I would show you more goodies from Marie Denee: from what I understand, Danish line Dear Starlet, is one of the up and coming plus sized designers, and looking at her clothing it’s easy to see why.  These designs are unlike anything I’ve seen in the U.S. probably in any size. Beautiful colors, fabrics and styling – truly unique.  Her “web shop” has only a fraction of her line; I’m hoping it will add more, so be sure to check out her Spring/Summer collection.  I’m going to show you one item available for purchase, and one apparently not – at least online.  But hey – if you’re ever in Denmark…

This is Dear Starlet’s “Nice Top”.  Who am I to disagree? 299 Danish Kroner apparently is only about $53 bucks.  I can’t tell the material – probably synthetic?  Some kind of soft rayon or silk blend? It ties at the waist with little belt loops, the top may be slightly elasticized – again, hard to tell.  I’m assuming the buttons attaching to the round collar are there for show or decoration, again I could be wrong – maybe you can make the top strapless.  In any event it looks like a dark, steel grey.

If you visit the home page – put on your mute button. I’m not a fan of pages that spring music on you.

The second product from this line appears to be a light grey spring trenchcoat; it’s from the Spring/Summer 2009 line, so let’s hope lots of stuff from there gets added to the website soon!

I’m seeing a slate/dove grey trenchcoat, with a large collar, belted waist and contrast buttons.  It’s scrunched up in the picture, but I’m estimating it’s knee length.

It’s also rather odd that there don’t seem to be any sizes. I added something to my shopping cart…and that was it. I regret to tell you I have no more information than that my little pr0n friends. I’ll keep my eyes and ears open and update you.

Let’s see what other goodies I have for you. Ah, yes. Again from Denmark (seriously, is it something in the water over there?)  is a delightfully off-beat site Carmakoma.com .  I adore the clothing over there. I try to show you all a variety of pr0ny stuff, but my own personal style tends towards more classic stuff.  So when I find a site that’s completely different from my own taste but still hits just that right spot, I’m thrilled.  Their line is…slightly goth?  Slightly punk? Just quirky and adorable. Reader WDarling, this means YOU!

Again, I’m so thrilled that I’m going to show you two items (I did promise Supersized Pr0n).  First is this “Lovely Coral” smock.

It took several Danish to English translators, but here’s what I can tell you about this piece: Dress shirt with short sleeves and bold detail. Closed with stofbetrukne buttons front. Beautiful neckline, large pockets and length difference of the bags and thick. Bungee detail on sleeve and on his back. A smockpanel that provides a beautiful and flexible fit.

Styling Tips: Use as a dress shirt dress over leggings (style Luxx). Combine any. dress with a short blazer jacket (style Cloe). Composition: 100% cotton. Colors: available in black or coral. Cost is 82,05 Euros, which about $108 USD. Sizes are US 10 – 20

Second is this “Million” party dress/top, and the obvious comment is that you will look like a million bucks in it!

The official description loses a little something in the translation, so let me tell you about this. This is a long top, with a stretch bust in orange purple and black sequins. The top comes with straps that can be used as a halterneck, regular shoulder straps or  hidden for strapless.  The front is apparently shorter than the back.  (Trust me, the official translation is…something else.)

Styling tip: use the top for a couple leggings (style luxx) or Harem trouser (style Kiki). May. styles over a tanktop or shirt or under a cardigan (United style). Composition: 100% viscose. Length along sidesøm str: XS = 56cm S = 57.5 cm M = 59 cm L = 60.5cm. Styling Tips: Use as a dress shirt dress over leggings (style Luxx). Combine any. dress with a short blazer jacket (style Cloe).

I think this is so chic and cute, especially for someone younger. It’s flashy without being trashy, and all too often plus sized clothing that exposes skin can really walk that line. So if you’re buying this please make sure you’re not going to be hiking it up over “the girls” all night. If you are, it doesn’t fit. I’m sorry. I can’t help it. For both dresses there are lots of pictures at the website with styling ideas, which is fabulous for the style challenged! Same sizes – US 10-20, and 61,51 Euros, which is about $82 USD.

My darling pr0n stars, I have waded through endless pages of ugly shoes just to bring you a few big and wide shoes delicious enough to be considered pr0n.  Several were nice, but they were like…soft core pr0n. It’s just not the same and you feel slightly let down.  However, I persevered! And I have come to you with an offering of Stuart Weitzman “Nanny” in patent leather Sequoia Glove .

These are 3″ high heeled patent leather oxfords, with a brushed leather lining and a leather sole. Zappos.com has these shoes at a 28% discount for $150.28. They’re currently in stock up to a 9.5W.

Also from Stuart Weitzman are these irresistible “Obladi” pointy toe gray tweed flats – currently in stock up to a size 10W.

.Pointy toes aren’t as in fashion as they were a few years ago, but within reason they’re still very chic and these are fantastic with jeans or suit pants or a pencil skirt. Go wild with a pencil skirt and a tight cardigan and rock that “sexy secretary” look.

I always like to end things on a high note, and this is very high indeed. Endless.com not only offers free shipping and returns, but free overnight shipping and returns. I’ve had very good experiences with them.

For you my most precious, I found these David Tate “Denver” boots , in red patent leather, up to a size 11.5 WW. You can thank me later.  I will caution you that these are all man-made materials, made in China.  They claim to have top-notch quality, which is entirely possible.  I’ve got a pair of Sperry Topsiders that I adore.

So that’s it!  I hope you enjoyed the first edition of Pr0n Plus.  Think of it this way – when someone asks you what you were doing today, you don’t have to tell them you were looking at pron; just tell them you were shopping!

As always, it was good for me; tell me: was it good for you?

Found Pr0n

Hello again, my little pr0n friends! Your friendly blogger got home from work early due to “inclement weather”, started surfing the web and simply had to show you all these goodies! So today’s pr0n is titled: Found Pr0n: The pr0niest stuff I found on other blogs.

O M G!

First take a look at this “Keybag” by Joao Sabino, found via My Fashion Life.Tell me this bag isn’t the cutest thing you’ve ever seen! According to the website, “Keybag” is a container built with 393 keys from computer keyboards. It comes in black, white, red and pink.  The designer says “The intention is to generate a shape from fragments (keys) without loosing [sic] the bond to the original object.”

The bag, which comes in red, black, white and pink is lined in nylon (so yes, it’s a functioning handbag) and sells for 145 Euros, which Google was kind enough to tell me is about $190. Buy this and be the envy of all your friends.

I don’t want the men in my life to feel neglected. Luckily, my pal over at RetroHo is showing quite possibly the most beautifully crafted leather bag I think I’ve ever seen. For $325 you get this hand-stitched shoulder satchel modeled after a WWII Belgium Map Case.

From the website: “There is nothing else on the market like this. Each one takes a few hours to complete. One solid pieces of cow hide is stitched with heavy wax cording to form the satchel. We had all the hardware cast in white bronze. Comes with all leather adjustable

stIve died and gone to heavenrap with shoulder piece, dull silver rings and collar buttons. Hand-stitched detailing throughout. Oiled and edged. 9 3/4″ X 11″ Best of all it’s made in the U.S.A. Hey, nobody ever said looking good came cheap.

Going in a completely different direction, I simply had to show you guys one of the pictures I found of the Spring/Summer 2009 line of lingerie purveyor Agent Provocateur, via EverydayFacts.  Honestly, my little pr0n fiends do check out the rest of the “Virgins Collection”.

This is a white halter-neck waistcoat in a cotton pique with tailored cups for support and cleavage.  The back has a small gold belt to accentuate the waist.  The high fitting black cotton shorts feature white side ribbon detailing and detachable suspender straps. Cotton over the knee stockings are sold separately for $40.

Sadly this “Frankie” waistcoat and shorts set will set you back a cool $690. But great deals are to be found in their sales section.

Over at The Fashion Archives I was introduced to the online store Juma, and their lovely organic clothing. In particular I liked this “Kalina H JD4F07″ houndstooth cotton/silk tulip dress.  I have a friend in NYC with the cutest little “hipster” haircut that would totally rock this dress (she knows who she is).

With the tulip skirt, it’s not for the pair shaped among us, but life’s not fair sometimes. But it’s just a stunningly crafted dress with boat neck, wide waist band, and black and white houndstooth check. (Is a houndstooth a check or a print? Anyone? Bueller?) So take your long, lean self over to Jumaonlinestore.com with $217.30 and tell them The Fashion Archives and I sent you.

Looking at the larger pictures on the model, it may not be quite as tulipy as it appears, so don’t let that scare you. Take a fashion risk, and be eco-conscious at the same time.

Pr0n friends, I want you to know that I looked HIGH and LOW for a fabulous full figured fashion blog to link to, and hopefully feature something from. But I could not find ANYTHING that met your blogger’s standards. (If you know one, please comment!) Be it hearby resolved that once a week we will have “Pr0n Plus” Because everybody loves a BBW.

However, for tonight I must leave you and forage for food. A hungry blogger is a cranky blogger.  Please think of me kindly, and when you do, think of these Chloe suede Olive Green sandals found over at It’s a Shoe Life.

What’s a measly $950 when you’re talking about Chloe sandals, right?

Unlike most pr0n, I encourage you to share this widely. As always, it was good for me; tell me: was it good for you?
