Pronsters, today’s post is a long overdue post not only about jewelry, but a spotlight on a blogger & designer friend of mine in Portland, Oregon: Betsy & Iya Jewelry. Betsy sells absolutely lovely and innovative metal vintage designs at prices you’ll love just as much.
Normissima Lacy Racy earrings are made out of vintage lace! They’re stiffened overnight, and then have a sterling silver wire added to them. Aren’t they stunning? When was the last time you had a pair of big earrings that didn’t drag down your ears, much less that were made out of real vintage lace?
Imagine the complements you’ll get wearing The Grand Key Necklace. She’s taken a sterling silver chain and attached to it three keys at varying lengths in varying metals.
The necklace ranges in length from 16 to 20″, but she’ll be happy to customize it for you if you like. It’s good to have friends!
Sunset is attached to Sterling Silver 3″ drop. Scowley, wouldn’t they look great with the Diane Wrap Dress you just bought from Budget Pr0n? I’m just saying!
If winter is bringing you down, and you need a pop of color in your life, BetsyandIya has Rich Red Vintage Deco Earrings.
These are made from real vintage 1950’s plastic in this divine deep red color, and then attached to sterling silver wires.
They’re 2.5″ long, but again can be customized for your preference. They make me want to get my ears re-pierced…any excuse to go shopping, right pr0n stars?
For something still colorful, but a bit more mellow, consider these real Agate Sunset Earrings. Since it’s real Agate, each one is different and unique (Just like you. Awww.)
I’m not sure why, but these actually make me think of the moon. I’d wear them with a different hue of one of the colors in the earrings, like the turquoise Missphit top from Recession Pr0n.
Personally though, I’m jonesing for her Asymmetrical Copper Square Girl Necklace, which is part of the appropriately named “Stunning Metal Vintage” collection.
I’m just going to go ahead and quote Betsy here: “The centerpiece is antique Victorian Gothic copper, which measures 28mm.
There are three subtle, delicate sterling silver chains linked to one silver gunmetal chain. The back is a sterling silver clasp handcrafted by me that hooks into a unique hook of chain. The necklace extends farthest to about 20″ at the tip of the centerpiece. I can adjust the necklace to any size you wish. Everything was designed and created by me.”
I guess I’d better start saving my copper pennies. Are pennies still copper? Inquiring minds want to know.
More than ever, it was good for me! Tell me, was it good for you?
